MacArthur Applauds Passage of Nation’s Defense Bill
Washington, D.C. – Congressman MacArthur today applauded the final passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2018:
Our nation’s defense bill will provide our troops with the tools and resources they need to defend our country both at home and abroad, while also protecting the future of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and the livelihood of the thousands of New Jerseyans employed there. After years of cuts, the NDAA will rebuild our military, increase missile defense funding to protect our homeland, and honor our troops by giving them a much needed pay raise. I’m particularly grateful that the NDAA prohibits a BRAC, which would devastate local economies and compromise our national security. This legislation will keep our nation safe and ensure our military is prepared to defend itself from today’s evolving threats.
