MacArthur Introduces MADE Act
Washington, DC - Congressman Tom MacArthur today announced that he has introduced legislation to ensure the seals of our Armed Forces are manufactured in the United States.
The “Manufacturing American Defense Emblems (MADE) Act” will require all official seals of our Armed Forces, any decorative objects, such as carvings, sculptures, seals and plaques, which depict the official seals of our Armed Forces to be made in the United States.
“The official seals of our Armed Forces are a source of pride and tradition that represent the sacrifices made for our country,” said Congressman Tom MacArthur. “When you walk into the offices of most Members of Congress you will see these seals proudly displayed, however, many visitors may not realize that many of these seals are made in China. I believe we should be honoring our troops by ensuring the official seals of the United States Armed Forces are manufactured here at home.”
