MacArthur Responds to $400 Million Secret Airlift for Iran
Washington, D.C. - Congressman Tom MacArthur today responded to reports of that the Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran:
“Every single provocation from Iran has gone unanswered," said Congressman MacArthur. "Now we are finding out the so-called “tough” deal American taxpayers were forced to fund included a convenient airlift of $400 million in cold hard cash directly to Iran. The Iranians wanted cash, and America delivered it to them. President Obama and the State Department have consistently proven there is no price for defying America – in fact, they are willing to bend over backward for a state sponsor of terror. This madness must stop."
"Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown on an unmarked cargo plane because any transaction with Iran in U.S. dollars is illegal under U.S. law." - Wall Street Journal. The full story can be found here.
